Full Stack Engineer
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of our ai-based biomedical software. You will work closely with data scientists, biomedical engineers, and other stakeholders to create robust and scalable software solutions. This role requires proficiency in cloud platforms, Agile methodologies, and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities:
- Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components of our biomedical software applications.
- Cloud Integration: Build and deploy cloud-native applications using commercial cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Agile Practices: Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices and participate in all phases of the development process.
- DevOps: Utilize industry-leading DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix bash scripting to automate deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Data Management: Ensure compatibility and integration of datasets and data sources within the healthcare domain, adhering to the principles of FAIR data (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
- Collaboration: Actively participate in cross-functional collaborations with external companies and internal scientific and data science teams.
- Innovation: Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role in software development.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Solid experience with back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or Ruby on Rails).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Agile practices, service-oriented architectures, and DevOps methodologies.
- Proficiency with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Junior/Mid Project Manager and Associate Grant Writer for EU R&D Projects
We are looking for a Junior/Mid Project / Technical Manager for R&D projects with proven experience in the preparation of similar proposals. The ideal candidate will have i) a technical background (at least a MSc) in a S/W related discipline, preferably (but not necessarily) AI-based applications targeting the Healthcare sector; ii) at least 1 year of prior experience in the management of R&D (H2020, HE) projects and iii) proven experience in the coordination and (co-) authoring of EU-funded proposals. The location of the offered position is either in Athens, Greece or in Leuven, Belgium based on the candidate’s preference.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities:
- Project Management of Horizon Europe projects, ensuring their smooth and on-time implementation.
- Coordination of the technical deliverables, ensuring their on-time delivery to the EU Commission.
- Implementation of the reporting tasks according to its project’s review.
- Coordination and/or participation in (co-)authoring activities of research proposals.
- Presentations and public speaking activities in events and project plenary meetings (travelling for the context of the projects will be required).

Junior Health Data Engineer
We are seeking a junior Health data engineer. The mission encompasses elements of both data science and data engineering. Your role involves ensuring compatibility and integration of datasets and data sources within the healthcare domain, adhering to the principles of FAIR data (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). You will be responsible for tasks such as data modeling, creating data mappings, implementing standards, data cleaning, and establishing reference datasets. The optimal candidate must have:
- Master in data science, computer science, computer science or equivalent through experience.
- Experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, causal inference methods to mitigate observed and residual confounding (propensity score matching/ weighting, instrumental variables, state transition models).
- Hands-on technical data analysis and modeling experience (across roles).
- Familiarity with OMOP CDM.
- Experience working closely within the healthcare domain.
- Experience querying (ETL writing), cleaning, and integrating data to create different population cohorts.
- Proficiency with one or more programming languages such as Python, R and SQL.
- Experience with Natural Language Processing, medical coding and disease ontologies are considered as a strong advantage for potential candidates.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Mapping of various datasets to international standards (e.g., OMOP and FHIR) to achieve FAIRness and interoperability.
- Development and implementation of the “reference data management” and “master data management” solutions.
- Actively participate in cross-functional collaborations with external companies, as well as internal scientific and data science teams.
- Leverage large-scale observational patient databases (e.g., electronic health records, claims, registries, etc.) to derive insights related to health outcomes.
- Contribute to the design, construction, deployment, and maintenance of the “metadata catalog,” “referential data,” and “Master data Management” as well as the development and completion of the ‘metadata catalog’
- Data harmonization and curation via imputation of missing variables, correcting bias and data pruning.
